In my first full year as the elected District O representative on the RTD Board, it has been a great honoring working to help shape the future of our bus and rail service in Boulder County.

While there are many issues, big and small, that already are demanding my attention, there are a few areas where I have focused my efforts. In particular, the success of the FasTracks ballot initiative promises to bring significant improvements to Boulder County and the entire Front Range. As your voice on the RTD Board, I will continue my vigilance in seeing to it that we receive the promised investments in commuter rail and bus rapid transit – as well as the critical bus connections that serve every part of our district. I also am working to make sure these enhancements to our transit system align with our local community interests.

Other issues that are a focus for me in my work on the RTD Board include keeping the Eco Pass an accessible and affordable tool to encourage transit ridership, and demanding the highest standards of customer service from RTD. Lastly, I have been diligent in seeing that the finances of Colorado’s third largest government agency are properly managed and used for maximum effectiveness.

I am grateful and honored that the citizens of Boulder County have elected me to represent you on the RTD Board.
