RTD has been conducting public meetings with a specific focus on its alalysis of the technology options for the Northwest Rail system. The final meeting will be this Monday, September 24 at the Celestial Seasonings facility in Gunbarell.
At these meeting, RTD staff is presenting the results of its comparison analysis between electric-multiple-units (EMU) and diesel-multiple-units (DMU). A copy of the presentation they are giving is attached:
I would appreciate any input you care to share regarding your own assessment of the two technology options, in light of the staff analysis, and any additional issues you believe staff should address in its analysis of the EMU and DMU technology options. The RTD Board will be making a final technology decision for the Northwest Rail system at its October meeting. Your input will assist me in reaching my own conclusions regarding this matter.
